Dear Cobalt & Co Hiring Team,

I am writing to apply for the Senior Service Designer position. I am a London-based Design Systems Architect with over 12 years of experience, currently working as a Design Systems Architect at Centri.

At Centri, I work in code alongside engineers: the token pipeline runs on GitHub Actions and Style Dictionary, and outputs CSS custom properties for Tailwind. I also run the system's governance: version tracking, token usage audits and visual regression testing, together with documentation and adoption guidelines that let other teams work with the system independently. I design to WCAG 2.2 and build accessibility into tokens and components from the outset, rather than addressing it at the end.

The role's focus on close collaboration with engineering, system governance and accessibility closely matches the work I do best, and I would welcome the opportunity to bring this experience to Cobalt & Co.

I am based in London and can work in United Kingdom without sponsorship. I am fluent in English and Spanish, and examples of my work are available in my portfolio at carlosborghes.com.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I would be glad to discuss how I could contribute to your team.

Kind regards,
Carlos Borghes
