Dear Tidewater Cloud Hiring Team,

I am writing to apply for the Design Engineer, Platform position. I am a London-based Design Systems Architect with over 12 years of experience, currently working as a Design Systems Architect at Centri.

At Centri, I work in code alongside engineers: the token pipeline runs on GitHub Actions and Style Dictionary, and outputs CSS custom properties for Tailwind. At Centri, I created an automated token pipeline that turns Figma variables into CSS custom properties, keeping design and code in sync and removing manual handoff. I designed and maintain a production-grade component library with full documentation, versioning and automated releases.

The role's focus on close collaboration with engineering, design tokens and component libraries closely matches the work I do best, and I would welcome the opportunity to bring this experience to Tidewater Cloud.

I am fluent in English and Spanish, and examples of my work are available in my portfolio at carlosborghes.com.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I would be glad to discuss how I could contribute to your team.

Kind regards,
Carlos Borghes
